Kenan Gultekin

Kenan Gultekin has experience in every aspect of criminal cases, from arraignment to motions to suppress evidence to jury trials to probation and parole violations. Let someone who knows the inside of a courtroom represent you.
He has appeared for years in San Diego County Superior Court, where state misdemeanor and felony cases are heard. He has also appeared in federal court in the Southern District of California. Because we are a border district, most cases involve the smuggling of drugs, narcotics, or people from Mexico. People who have been previously deported may be charged with illegal reentry. 2020
– Double attempt murder: hung jury on both attempted murder counts, resulting in a mistrial; both life allegations dismissed after motion hearings. Resolved for a determinate term.

2019
– Robbery and assault with force likely to cause GBI: Hung jury, resulted in a mistrial; client released on his own recognizance. Later resolved for a misdemeanor.
– Felon in possession of a firearm with two strike priors: Hung jury, resulted in a mistrial.
– Assault with a deadly weapon: Not guilty verdict.
– Assault with a deadly weapon: Not guilty verdict.

2018

– Assault with force likely to cause GBI: Hung jury, resulted in a mistrial; client released on her own recognizance. Later resolved for a misdemeanor.

2017
– Assault with a deadly weapon with two strike priors: Hung jury, resulted in a mistrial.
– Possession of controlled substance for sale, weight enhancement over one kilo, transportation, and false compartment: Split verdict; not guilty on the possession for sale.
– Vehicle theft and intimidation of witness: Split verdict, not guilty on the strike (serious felony) charge of intimidation.
